How do you make a wreath out of branches?
Start the wreath by taking a few different boughs of greenery and bunching them together at the base of the branch. Take the bundle, and place it against the wreath form. Use your floral wire to wrap around both the bundle and the form a few times, until it feels secure. Do NOT clip the wire when you are finished.
How do you make a burlap wreath with multiple colors?
- Get the wreath and secure one end of the colored burlap to it using the twine.
- Fold the colored burlap to form a loop then pass it in between the two outer wires.
- Once the regular burlap loop comes up, create another loop using the colored burlap in between the inner wires.
How many yards of burlap does it take to make a wreath?
For the wreath in this tutorial, it takes 1 1/2 yards of burlap from a bolt of burlap. If you are making a ruffled burlap wreath on a 16-inch wire wreath frame use a 5-inch roll of burlap. It should take about 12-15 yards, depending on how full you want the wreath. Typically one roll is 10 yards.
